Future Ready Acceleration
Michael Duben, Former CAO, District Municipality of Muskoka / CAO, Oxford County
"The Future Ready Leadership Acceleration Program is designed to help municipalities build on their most important asset during the challenging, even transformational, years ahead: people. From the perspective of working with Mohawk College Enterprise as both a collaborator and pilot municipality, I observed first-hand how the program-- through practical and intensive coaching-- expands on the building blocks of the Future Ready Leadership program to further develop the soft leadership skills we know have the greatest impact on workplace culture and service excellence."

I could not have asked for a more professional and relevant course for the track that I am on, and am thankful for the opportunity from both my utility, and Mohawk College Enterprise."

Future Ready Leadership
Kirsten Grubic, Research Development & Education Advisor, Health & Safety Coordinator Administration, David Braley Research Institute
The Population Health Research Institute (PHRI) has engaged with Mohawk College Enterprise (MCE) since 2016 to develop the leadership skills of our emerging and existing leaders. The Future Ready Leadership program has by far been the best leadership development program for our organization. In 2021, after 3 multidisciplinary cohorts (held either virtually or in-person), 60 graduates of which 20 have been promoted internally, MCE’s Future Ready Leadership program has strengthened our teams and prepared our people to move into more senior and leadership positions. We will continue to work with MCE to develop our people and grow our organization.
Mastering Effective Communication
- Duane Ayres, Manager of Water Operations, Public Works Commission, Environmental Services, The Corporation of the City of Brantford
Our group thoroughly enjoyed the Communications training yesterday. Bob turned what could have been a very long training day into a day of excellent training. He kept everyone involved, relayed real-world stories and scenarios he had experienced to the group and most of all made the training entertaining. What a great facilitator. We all certainly benefited from the training.
