Power Protection and Control technologists and technicians install, maintain, and repair equipment used for detecting power systems faults, controlling system devices, and more. In this program, participants will learn basic to advanced power protection and control, and core concepts of power quality, communication systems, and other essential skills necessary to succeed in their field. Participants will be led by industry professionals and will leave the program equipped with the knowledge and skills to identify and respond to complications in power systems. 

What You`ll Learn

The learning outcomes of this program are:

  • Use appropriate knowledge and skills to identify, formulate, analyze and solve complex engineering problems in order to reach substantiated conclusions.
  • Conduct investigations of complex problems by methods that include appropriate experiments, analysis and interpretation of data and syntheses of information in order to reach valid conclusions.
  • Create, select, apply, adapt, and extend appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering tools to a range of engineering activities, from simple to complex, with an understanding of the associated limitation.

How You`ll Learn

A Business Development Officer and subject matter expert will meet with you to review the course outline and learning objectives for every section of the program. Wherever possible, we will build in real-life scenarios your employees will face in the workplace. Participants will take part in our engaging and interactive course designed with different learning styles in mind. Through an instructor-led discussion, individual and group activities, and practical hands-on application, participants will leave confident with their new knowledge.

Once back in the workplace, participants will be able to refer back to their course material and reflect on what they learned.
