Critical Thinking and Problem Solving is designed for individuals looking to think more reflectively and independently. The goal of this course is to help participants build their skills as a critical thinker and apply standards of critical thinking to utilize within different workplace situations. They will also learn how to identify the cause of complex problems and the techniques and steps to solve problems.

What You’ll Learn

This course is designed to improve participant’s critical thinking and problem-solving skills. With a focus on identifying key techniques, participants will learn to apply these skills to a variety of workplace situations.

Problem Solving

  • Determine factors affecting the ability to effectively solve problems
  • Utilize problem-solving techniques such as examining assumptions, modeling, drilling down and SWOT analysis

Critical Thinking

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of different techniques of critical thinking
  • Explain direct causes, root causes and apply a root cause analysis

How You’ll Learn

Every program and individual courses we offer is customizable to your organization’s needs. After meeting with one of our Business Development Officers and identifying exactly what those needs are, participants will take part in our engaging and interactive course designed with different learning styles in mind. Participants will be led by one of our experienced and highly skilled facilitators through discussions, individual and group activities, and meaningful group discussions.

We work closely with our clients to ensure that we meet all your needs – this includes location. Courses can take place at our location within Mohawk College’s Stoney Creek campus or at any location of your choice. That means, if you’d like us to come to you – we will set up shop at your location of choice.
