The Canada-Ontario Job Grant (COJG) funded by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities; provides an opportunity for employers to invest in their workforce, with help from the government. Under the COJG funding program, the government pays two-thirds of training cost (up to $10,000 per employee/grant) and the employer only pays the remaining one-third of the total cost. Mohawk College Enterprise (MCE) can assist employers to invest in their workforce through this program. The COJG funding program can provide direct financial support to individual employers who wish to purchase training for their employees. It is available to small, medium and large businesses with a plan to deliver short-term training to existing and new employees. In this grant program, employers choose the individuals they would like to have trained, and the training that meets their workforce development needs. The cost of training is then shared between employers and the government. MCE can partner with your organization and help you through the COJG process and work with you to identify your training needs, develop a training plan and deliver a fully customized program that meets your organizations particular needs. MCE has already helped many clients acquire funding from the COJG program to access and deliver corporate training programs.
